Delete Account & Data

At SwiftGo, we respect your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated personal information, you can do so at any time.

Your Right to Data Deletion

Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. We are committed to honoring these rights and making the process as simple as possible.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your SwiftGo account, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your profile information (name, email, phone number, photo)
  • Your purchase history and product listings
  • Your chat messages and communications
  • Your earnings, payouts, and transaction records
  • Your preferences and settings
  • Any uploaded content (product images, documents, etc.)
  • Your SwiftGo AI conversation history

What We May Retain

For legal, security, and fraud prevention purposes, we may retain certain limited information:

  • Financial Records: Tax and accounting records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law
  • Fraud Prevention: Information related to banned accounts or fraudulent activity
  • Legal Obligations: Data required to comply with legal requests or ongoing disputes
  • Anonymized Data: Aggregated, non-identifiable data used for analytics and improvements

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: From the SwiftGo App

  1. Open the SwiftGo app on your device
  2. Go to Profile → Settings
  3. Scroll down to Account Management
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm your decision and enter your password
  6. Tap Permanently Delete My Account

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:

  1. Send an email to delete@swiftgo.app
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the following information:
    • Your full name
    • Email address registered with SwiftGo
    • Phone number (if applicable)
    • Reason for deletion (optional)
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Method 3: Account Deletion Form

For faster processing, you can submit a deletion request through our online form:

  • Visit: swiftgo.app/support/delete-request (if available)
  • Fill in your account details
  • Submit the form and receive a confirmation email

Deletion Timeline

Once you submit a deletion request or delete your account from the app:

  • Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in
  • Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems
  • Within 90 days: Data is removed from backup systems

Before You Delete

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before deleting your account, please consider:

  • Pending Payments: Withdraw any remaining balance from your wallet
  • Active Listings: Remove or complete any active product listings
  • Pending Orders: Complete or cancel any outstanding orders
  • Download Your Data: Request a copy of your data before deletion (see below)

Download Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your personal data:

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy
  2. Tap Download My Data
  3. We'll email you a downloadable file within 48 hours containing:
    • Profile information
    • Purchase and listing history
    • Transaction records
    • Messages (if applicable)

Alternatively, email privacy@swiftgo.app with the subject "Data Download Request".

Reactivation Policy

If you change your mind, you have a 14-day grace period to reactivate your account after deletion:

  • Log in to the app within 14 days
  • Your account and data will be restored
  • After 14 days, your data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered

Children's Accounts

SwiftGo is not intended for users under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately at legal@swiftgo.app and we will delete the account promptly.

Third-Party Data

If you linked your SwiftGo account to third-party services (Google, Facebook, payment processors), you may need to separately revoke access or delete data from those platforms. We will remove all data we have stored about those connections.
